I bought my first portable computer in 1996 for ,000US (a Dell laptop with Intel P1-250MHz), then a second one in 2002 for ,500US (a Dell inspiron laptop P4-2000MHz/512-ram), and now this is my third portable computer an Acer Aspire One AOP 531H with Intel Atom N270 (1,600MHz), 1Gb Ram, 160GB HDD, an integrated webcam, Bluetooth and WiFi for only 0US –> WoW!

This is a great alternative to lugging around my 15.5″ laptop. Compact (fits in my zippered portfolio with room to spare for files, pens, business cards and writing tablet), light weight, and option-loaded. Mine quickly picks up wireless in coffee shops/branch offices making for fast review and response to email just prior to scheduled meetings. Getting accustomed to the keyboard layout was all of 20 mins. effort. 6 hour battery life beats my heavier laptop by 4+ hours. The referrals were spot on! Amazon is the place to go for latest technology at a very reasonable price. “
