When I bought this product, I knew I would be putting Windows7 on it. I think its perfect for what it was designed for, which is surfing the net, email and total portability. All of which it does with stunning perfection. The only thing I wish it had was a slightly better graphic accelerator. It plays video well and thats exactly what I expected. I did purchase a larger battery first off. Now I can easily get 9+ hours out of it without recharging. Its small, lite, bright screen (which is slightly larger than most) large hard drive and 2gigs of ram. The multi-card slot and 3usb ports really make it handy. For anyone that has need for total portability and reasonably powerful computing, this is the machine for you. It should serve well students, teachers, professional on the go and those that just want to sit at the local internet cafe and drink there latte while “facebooking” or “twittering” which seems to be the fastest growing application for this type of machine. Buy it, you’ll love it. P.S. I already have “Windows 7″ on the way. I cant wait to see the much anticipated improvements that this (according to all in the know) will don my machine with.

This computer is great, within the scope of its intended use. It loads up quickly, it opens programs like Google Chrome, and Open Office Writer as quickly as any computer. Once you remove some of the useless programs, and bloat-ware this little computer is a work-horse.

I’m typing this review on this Acer netbook, which I’ve now had for a week and it’s working out great for me. After bringing it home I immediately removed all the crapware (as a Mac owner, I had forgotten about how ugly buying a new Windows computer is), and then proceeded to upgrade to Windows 7. I filled the 250GB hard drive with my research and programs, and everything has worked out without a hitch. I do recommend upgrading all the drivers from the Acer Website after going to Windows 7, this may be the reason why others have complained about freezing machines and the like.

It has a 3 cell Battery which lasted about 3.5 hours working straight on it running multi- programs. Wow, this little thing is amazing. It has all the basic programs you need to be on the go. I researched several mini net books and this one caught my eye because is 11.6″ vs. 10.1″ Screen. I was skeptical at purchasing an Acer Netbook because I have always purchased Dell, HP, IBM or Compaq in the past and did not know if the Acer Netbook could compare. Let me tell you, it does not compare. It far exceeds all these other brands and out performs them. It is like apples and oranges. The Acer Aspire is in another league. A very good looking, comfortable to carry and use, and quick as lightning. I purchased it for my wife because of price and I already had a Dell Mini 10. Well let me tell you I have purchased me one also and the Mini 10 is for sale.

I love this little Acer. I use it for everything. My music, movies and for games. Speed is great. Its neat and compact. Fits into my purse for use on the go. The price is good for a small system that packs in 250GB. I bought mine in black. The only negative is that it wasnt available in Pink.
