Acer Aspire One AO751h-1351 11.6-Inch White Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life Review

Acer Aspire One AO751h-1351 11.6-Inch White Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life
Ever since the Trash 80 I’ve survived hardware and software crashes that would keep anyone from touching a computer again. Only a new laptop could solve the current problem and not just a bigger hard drive, which was my first choice. The last laptop I purchase was a used Sony 300MHz VAIO with a 30 Gig hard drive for 0. Its now used only for meal planning, email, word processing and a variety of other suitably s-l-o-w tasks. So I was not expecting very much for 0, if you know what I mean. Dang, was I ever surprised! New on the market the Sony was over ,500 so naturally to get over a Ghz and a 250 GIG drive I feel like with the Aspire I automatically have a good deal. Right off the bat with no changes or updates it ran streamed Netflix video with just a bit more low resolution patches than I enjoy but even my dual core 2.4 gig desktop shows a couple of patches every now and then and this may actually be the network rather than the computer. Once I updated the BIOS and the ACER and Windows Vista software AND downloaded a copy of Firefox the laptop was good to go. I have to use a magnifying glass or the software magnifier in the accessibility options folder for seeing text in full screen resolutionbut then I have to wear them anyway to see 10 pica Times New Roman. After watching part of a movie or two (I instaled Power DVD 5 since the bundled version 8 was not working…) along with writing this review and surfing the web for a couple of hours I won’t part with this baby now. Perfect for the road when you need to “bee” out there fast and light. Perfect if the other computers at office, home or at the library are at critical times in use. Perfect for a low budget. The only thing I would (and may) change is Vista. It won’t let me use the c:\ drive for txt files and other stuff where my programs are already pointing. Forget upgrading to get Windows Aero. You’ll need a slightly faster video adapter than the one that is built in. Be sure the configuration you select has everything you were expecting. I was expecting a built-in Bluetooth module but had to use my own USB adapter. The only way to get a better all around deal is to wait a couple of years.

Samsung N110-12PBK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell Battery (9.5 Hours)Review by G. Blitz (USA)
Satisfied Rating (4/10)

I ordered the N110 from Amazon Beach Camera. He met my expectations, except for one big problem with the keyboard.
If you type text in Gmail or use OpenOffice Writer the text jumps around and is extremelly annoying.I not know what other programs have this problem since I have not tried, but it is certainly the same thing.
E 'in some way related to a press the space bar .. the cursor moves where and type the text in the wrong place. I spend my life quotes from previously written sentences and phrases to rewrite.
And 'obviously a design problem and I will ask Samsung to recall this product!

Acer Aspire One AOD250-1326 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life Review

Acer Aspire One AOD250-1326 10.1-Inch White Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life
This is a great computer if you already have a desktop at home and just need something for on the go. It is very small and lightweight, which is great if you are like me and have to carry around an already heavy backpack all the time. The keyboard is pretty similar in feel to a normal keyboard compared to other netbooks that I have used. The only real downsides are the performance capabilities and the lack of CD/DVD drive, but there are plenty of ways around both of those if you have another computer. I recommend this computer to anyone who wants a small companion computer

Acer Aspire One AOA150-1555 8.9-Inch Onyx Black Netbook - 2.5 Hour Battery LifeReview by Jason T. Ehrenberg (saint paul)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

Let me start by saying that it should ensure a netbook is for you before making your purchase. Once you've decided to go with a notebook netbook - it's perfect!

Of the ones I tested in big box stores, Acer has a larger keyboard unless you go with a solid state hard drive. That said, the keyboard can take one or two days to get used to - but it happens quickly.

Battery life is between 2-3 hours. The cable is small enough that it is easy to store with you, if you need it.

Dell Inspiron Mini IM10-2863 10.1-Inch Obsidian Black NetbookReview by steve_oakland (Davis, CA)
Satisfied Rating (8/10)

I am a big Mac user, but I really need something inexpensive for small players. Although it lacks much of the power and convenience of a full notebook, which is great for my purposes.

The start time for the Inspiron Mini is acceptable. Programs that run frequently, as [...] (a free office suite) and load Firefox respectable too quickly.

Play video on sites like [...] is smooth, at least on my home network, but the images seem to be a bit 'more pixels read on computers with faster graphics better.

People have it hard, a digital camera, a cell phone camera to keep an MP3 player and a cell phone, wherever they go. This was understood by the mobile phone manufactures.

To satisfy the customers and attract more clients taken the first step in the development trend is the integration of the camera, video camera and MP3 to a mobile phone. Once this was done, was the next step is to develop these functions.

Acer Aspire One AOD150-1577 10.1-Inch Diamond Black Netbook - 6.5 Hour Battery LifeReview by Pan (Louisville, KY)
Satisfied Rating (10/10)

I was perfectly happy with my Aspire One. I loaded with Ubuntu Netbook Remix, I once took, and everything "just worked" after updating the BIOS of Aspire. This little gem goes to all my meetings and work, and I can use it when the mood seems to me not to worry about battery life, even with high brightness and Wi-Fi always on. My recommendation: If you plan to watch video / Hulu / etc on your device, go ahead and buy the single stick of 2GB of RAM (it's like $ 25), who wants, if you want to playback video without interruption. General and excellent product!

Acer Aspire One AOA150-1706 8.9-Inch Copper Netbook - 2.5 Hour Battery Life Review

Acer Aspire One AOA150-1706 8.9-Inch Copper Netbook - 2.5 Hour Battery Life
I can’t say enough about how good this little netbook is. I have found nothing to complain about. It has been on for two months now and has no problems at all. The wifi card is excellent. It picks up signals that my full sized laptop can’t.

Click the F11 key to go full screen when you are using your browser and you will have plenty of screen space. I have also used this with a second monitor, set up to be my primary, and it works flawlessly.
